Countering Back Kick to Butterfly to Double KickThis is a great offensive/defensive type of combination. It starts out when you go to counter a Roundhouse Kick, Fast Kick, etc with your sparring Back Kick. If for some reason you don't land your back kick, for example your opponent moved back, side stepped, etc, you can easily turn that defensive motion into an offensive motion. Simply turn your non-kicking leg from the back kick over and turn it into a 360 Roundhouse or butterfly kick. If this doesn't score, or for a follow up, just bring up your other leg and execute your Roundhouse double kick. The new scoring in Olympic Style Sparring calls for all spinning kicks to be worth 2 points. Both your back kick and butterfly kick are spinning techniques, so if you score them both, plus your double kicks, you'll rack up the points in no time.
